3. Definition of Child Abuse

Child abuse includes, but is not limited to:

  • Online exploitation

  • Cyber harassment

Any suspicion or complaint will be taken seriously.


4. Safeguarding Responsibilities

A. School Management

  • Ensure a safe physical and digital environment

  • Appoint a Child Protection Officer (CPO)

  • Establish complaint mechanisms

  • Conduct awareness programs

B. Teachers & Staff

  • Maintain professional boundaries

  • Report suspected abuse immediately

  • Avoid private communication with students outside official channels

C. Parents/Guardians

  • Monitor children’s online activity

  • Report concerns promptly

  • Cooperate in safeguarding investigations

D. Students

  • Respect peers

  • Report bullying or unsafe behavior

  • Avoid sharing personal information online


5. Online Safety Policy

The School recognizes increasing digital engagement and implements the following measures:

A. Safe Use of School Website

  • No collection of unnecessary personal data

  • Secure HTTPS connection

  • Restricted administrative access

B. Online Classes / Digital Platforms

  • Use approved platforms only

  • Recording policies clearly communicated

  • No private one-to-one unsupervised online sessions

C. Cyberbullying Prevention

Cyberbullying includes:

  • Sending threatening messages

  • Sharing harmful images

  • Impersonation

  • Public humiliation online

Such actions may result in disciplinary action and legal reporting.


6. Protection of Student Data

In compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023:

  • Student data is used only for educational purposes

  • Parental involvement is ensured for minors

  • No profiling or targeted advertising

  • Limited access to student records

7. Social Media Guidelines

  • Staff must not add students on personal social media accounts

  • Official communication must occur through approved channels

  • Posting student photos requires parental consent

  • No student personal data may be publicly disclosed
